Science Policy ACTION: Sign our Paris Pledge
In 2015, the world’s governments met and decided to tackle climate change together. In 2016, the Paris Agreement was signed by more than 100 countries, including the United States of America, to solve this problem. On June 1, 2017, under the administration of President Donald J. Trump, the U.S. withdrew from the Paris Agreement.
The science is clear: human-made global warming is happening. The U.S. is currently second in producing emissions that play a role, and the biggest carbon polluter in history. As individuals in the U.S., let us vow to honor the Paris Agreement. Let us call our representatives and make it known that we do not agree to this withdrawal. And let us reaffirm the truth—that science does not lie.
